The Windows of My Soul: The Faith of Mankind (#58), Aura (#59)

They just don’t teach this stuff in school.

That there is a God
Is more than some can believe
That He is truly infinite
Is more than any can conceive.

We reach out to Heaven
And say, “Oh, help me God”
Then go our stubborn way
Unless He strike us with a sign.

How many truly do believe
Without a striking sign
That He is love and light and life
And God of all mankind.

If I could live forever
In the cradle of all time
The years would gently lap around
My inner self to define.

My face and form may never change
Though my smile may well appear
To become much more lustrous
As I live from year to year.

Until finally I’ll walk alone
Toward my Heavenly goal
Bringing only to my God
The smile within my soul.
