Four Then, Four Now

Four Then, Four Now

I remember a time past
Through clouds of memory
And stores of databanks

Of a party, not a real
Special party, but a
Fun one

That day I was four
Mommy served ice cream
In the dining room

With white walls
Red decorations
And the brown table

I had friends of
Which none I remember
Except my brother

I can see that
I still live a party
Not a special party

But a fun one

One of my earlier efforts: “Write a poem about your earliest memory.” This is mine.
