The Windows of My Soul: Sacrifice (#181)

Sacrifice (#181)

July 21, 1981

The clouds grew dark, the wind fierce
It rained
My tears fell with the rain.

They mocked His face, pierced His side
Their fear
Raged with the storm.

The sky split, the earth shook
We trembled
The wrath of God was plain.

We took His broken body
Hi head
Pierced by many thorns.

We washed Him and anointed
With aloes
Wound Him in a shroud.

We placed Him in the tomb
The dark
Into place rolled the stone.

I stood at the front of the Cross
And cried
The day my Savior died.
