The Windows of My Soul: City Sophistication (#200)

City Sophistication (#200)

Downtown streets asprinkle
Elegant in the rain
Twilight sophistication
As the city comes alive
Cacophony is muted
Flowers bow their heads
And the busy-ness of shoppers
Hurries home.
The heartbeat of the city
Throbs in the wind
Rhythms of the city
Move on dancing feet
Raucous horns may blare
Piercing the softness
But dusk settles down
Upon the city
And the charm
Of living here
Remains.
