I’ve been through the horrors
Of two different kinds of hell
And I survived because
I thought You love me well.

But here I stand before You
Shaken to my very soul
I’ve kept alive the dream
You gave me long ago.

Is it a horrid cruel joke?
The promise that You made
That I would never walk alone
Through another hell.

Yet, empty are my arms
Empty is my life
And I no longer have
A reason to survive.

(Sorry, it was a bad time. And He did keep His promise.)
