Almost six inches long
With a hook at the end
A little dent in the middle
	for my finger or thumb
Usually made of aluminum
Sometimes of wood
(I don’t want to mention
		plastic hooks
	Because they can get tacky
	And hard to use.)
Skinny hooks are steel
Thin as wire
	a needle’s width
But they gradUATE in size
To broom handle thick.

It flies through my fingers
This magical tool
Through a myriad of yarns
	creating beauty
with cotton and wool.
