For my Dad – he loved roses and grew them well.
Papering our dining room was the last thing he did before his final illness. (He also taught me how to hang wallpaper! – wsg)

Soft pink roses on the wall
Vined above the deep blue fence
Flowers ringing around the room
Flowers in my heart.

They bring the brightness of the sun
Into my dining room
Pretty flowers on my wall
To chase away the gloom.

Bringing beauty to my home
Gladness to my life
My father put them on the wall
To share with me his love.
